DEFILIGNUM
DEFILIGNUM is a bioinsecticide of intestinal type of action based on Bacillus thurengiensis, var. Thurengiensis, strain B 501.
Defilignum is produced in the form of a suspension concentrate. A biological insecticide of intestinal action containing as an active substance bacteria Bacillus thuringiensis, var. Thuringiensis, strain B-501. When bacteria enter the body, they begin to multiply and cause disruption of the intestinal tract of the caterpillar, which stops the pest from feeding. The toxin produced by bacteria destroys the intestinal lining, its contents enter the hemolymph and cause the caterpillar’s death.
The main use of the product is to protect forests from Siberian and gypsy moths, as well as caterpillars of other pests.
